Project 1 — Reducing taxes and transit times on the Shanghai–Constanța route
The client was incurring customs costs of up to 18% of the goods' value and average delays of 6 days in port. Goal: reduce taxes by at least 5% and shorten customs clearance time to under 48 hours.
We conducted a complete audit of the import documentation and operational flows. We identified 4 incorrect tariff codes and proposed reclassifying the goods under EU preferential regimes.
We implemented a digital system for managing customs declarations and trained the internal team on the new procedures. We negotiated a priority clearance agreement with the customs authority.
Customs costs decreased by 7.2%, and the average clearance time was reduced to 34 hours. The client saves over €120,000 annually and reported a 15% increase in partner satisfaction.
